Manchester United expected to announce Jadon Sancho transfer after Euro 2020 – as Borussia Dortmund set July 23 deadline to get mega deal done

Manchester United are expected announce the transfer of Jadon Sancho after Euro 2020, it has been reported.

The Red Devils tried to sign the England star last summer but were unable to meet Borussia Dortmund’s asking price of £108million.

Sancho left United’s rivals Manchester City four years ago to join Dortmund which has proved to be an inspired decision

The two clubs are locked in negotiations once again and The Sun claims Man United have agreed personal terms with Sancho, worth £350,000-a-week over five years.

Dortmund want United to increase their offer of £61m to £78m, with a further £10m in add-ons, but this is expected to happen, the report adds.

The German club are understood to have given the Premier League side a deadline of July 23 as that’s when they’re heading off on their pre-season training camp.

Sancho admits that his England teammates who play for Man United have been speaking to him about an Old Trafford move.

He said: “Of course, all the boys have a lot of questions. When you do well, speculation is always going to come around.

“I just tell the boys, ‘look, I’m focused on football at the moment’ and we just focus on the Euros, step by step.”

But in an interview with talkSPORT, Sancho insisted he’s fully focused on this summer’s finals.

He said: “No, I’m cool about it. It’s just how you handle that on the pitch, so just keep doing what you’re doing.

“If you keep doing that then I’m sure it won’t be a problem because the main thing is my football and that’s what I’m focused on at the moment.”

Man United have also been linked with Sancho‘s club teammate Erling Haaland, who has 57 goals in 59 appearances for Dortmund.

The Sun’s report says the club spoke to Haaland and his representatives but the Norwegian made it clear he has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid.

Chelsea and Manchester City have also been heavily linked with the 21-year-old hotshot.
